Psychologist


Jen is a Psychologist with a Master of Professional Psychology from the Australian Catholic University.
With a solid background in crisis support for people of all ages, Jennifer has developed her therapeutic skills in educational and private settings, working with children, teenagers, and adults. Her clinical interests include a broad range of mental health conditions, ranging from neurodevelopmental disorders to mood and anxiety disorders, anger management, educational and workplace struggles, stress management, self-confidence and self-image, adjustment disorders, and coping with loss and grief. Jen also provides a variety of cognitive and behavioural assessments for those experiencing emotional and behavioural challenges and confidently applies her skills in neurodevelopmental assessments.

In her therapeutic approach, Jen is committed to creating a respectful, empathetic, and safe space that fosters clients’ understanding of themselves and their environment while supporting them in developing practical skills to enhance their overall well-being.
Jen’s intervention toolbox is diverse, and her work is supported by evidence-based strategies and techniques drawing from multiple therapeutic frameworks. She incorporates Cognitive Behavioural Therapy to address negative thought patterns, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy to encourage psychological flexibility, and Strengths-based Therapy to harness personal strengths. In addition, she integrates mindfulness and self-compassion techniques, tailoring her approach to each client’s unique needs.

Jen is passionate in her work with children and uses a systemic lens to understand the child’s emotional or behavioural challenges, and she strongly believes that everyone has an inner potential to grow.
Jen provides psychological intervention sessions for children aged 5+, teenagers and adults. Additionally, she offers assessments for children of all ages. While Jen works with a range of clients, her primary focus and passion lie in supporting children and teenagers.
